Bongbong Marcos and Sarah Duterte’s Senatorial Slate

Here are the senatorial candidates under the Marcos-Duterte slate.

Sherwin Gatchalian

Gatchalian has been a senator since 2016, after running and successfully winning under then presidential-aspirant Grace Poe. Prior to this, he was the representative of the 1st District of Valenzuela City for three years. He served as the mayor of the said city from 2004 to 2016.

Loren Legarda

Legarda first became a senator in 2001 and went on to serve until 2004. She went back to being a part of the Senate in 2010 and has served the country ever since.

Harry Roque

Roque is best known for serving as the spokesperson of Presidential Rodrigo Duterte. He was first appointed as the spokesperson in 2017 and served until 2018. He returned as the presidential spokesperson in 2020 until he resigned in 2021 right before his senatorial bid.

Mark Villar

Villar served more than five years as the Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) until he resigned in October of 2021. Prior to this, Villar was the representative of the sole district of Las Piñas City from 2010 until he resigned in 2016 to accept the DPWH Cabinet position.

Jinggoy Estrada

Estrada was the mayor of San Juan City from 1992 to 2001. He first entered the Senate in 2004 and stayed there until 2016. In 2016, he was detained for his connection to the P183-million pork barrel scam. He was released on bail for said involvement last 2017.

Herbert Bautista

Bautista was the mayor of Quezon City last 2010 to 2019. Prior to this, he was the Vice Mayor from 2001 to 2010.

Gibo Teodoro

Teodoro was the representative of the Fifth District of Tarlac from 1998 to 2007. In 2007, he was appointed as the Secretary of National Defense. After his failed 2010 presidential bid, he has slipped away from the political limelight.

Migz Zubiri

Zubiri was the representative of the Third District of Bukidnon in 1995-1998. In 2007, he narrowly won a Senate seat against Koko Pimentel but was met with petitions contesting the validity of his victory which caused his subsequent 2011 resignation. He made a Senate comeback in 2016 and has been a senator since.

Rodante Marcoleta

Marcoleta was the representative of the Alagad Party-List to the Congress from 2004 to 2007 and again in 2009 to 2013. In 2016, he became the representative of SAGIP Partylist.

Larry Gadon

Gadon first attempted to enter politics by running as a Senator in the 2016 elections but lost. He was recently suspended by the Supreme Court as a lawyer for the viral video of him swearing at a journalist.
