Printing of ballots for Antipolo special polls completed


MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday finished the printing of the over 250,000 official ballots for the special polls in the Second District of Antipolo City set next month.

In a brief statement, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said they have completed the printing of 252,793 ballots at the National Printing Office (NPO) in Quezon City afternoon of Feb. 20.

“Printing of Antipolo ballots done by 12:43 p.m. Sheeting of the ballots is ongoing,” he said.

The printing process started at 9 a.m., according to a separate Comelec statement.

Aside from the ballots, the NPO also printed accountable forms for the March 14, 2026 special election for the Member of the House of Representatives in the 2nd Legislative District of Antipolo City.

The special polls were called to fill the vacancy for the congressional seat of Antipolo's 2nd District previously held by Romeo Acop who passed away in December last year.

Six candidates vying for the position are Dandin Infante, Reden Llama, Maria Trinidad Cafirma, Philip Conrad Acop, Nathaniel Lobigas, and Irvin Paulo Tapales. (PNA)
