Sara celebrates women’s day in Bulacan

GUIGUINTO, Bulacan – Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte on Tuesday honored Filipino women and recalled the bravery of Trinidad Tecson in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Tecson was from San Miguel de Payumo, Mayumo, Bulacan. She earned the name “Ina ng Biak-na-Bato” from General Emilio Aguinaldo whose headquarters for the revolution sits on an area called Biak-na-Bato. Tescon was also named the “Mother of the Philippine Red Cross” for her nursing services to the Katipuneros.

The Davao City mayor said women are good community partners especially in driving a lively economy.

In Davao City, Duterte launched the Magnegosyo Ta Dai (MTD) program, which provides entrepreneurial training to Dabawenyas to encourage the sector to engage in small-scale businesses.

Duterte is currently in Bulacan along with Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and UniTeam senatorial bets. (PR)
